Department of Physics

Introduction:
The Department of Physics has been established on 15th June 1969 with Undergraduate Programme, B. Sc. Physics. The Post Graduate i.e. M.Sc. Physics has been commenced in June 1989 and continued till 2001-2002. Due to the unavailability of a sufficient number of students, there was a lap of a decade, however, Department resumed the P.G. in 2013-14 to date. In addition, the Department of Physics was recognized as a research center by K.B.C.N.M. University, Jalgaon to pursue P.G. and Ph.D. research till 2004 and again recognized in 2021. Currently, there are three full-time faculty working in the department. The department has well-equipped dedicated practical laboratories for UG and PG programs. The research lab of the department has many sophisticated instrumentation facilities for research work like UV-Vis. Spectrophotometer, Vacuum Coating Unit, Spray Pyrolysis Unit, Annealing furnace, programmable muffle furnace, chemical bath set up, Ultrasonicator, water distillation plant, Magnetic Heater and Stirrer, etc.
